Germany is the world's leading host for international trade fairs. An average of 25 trade fairs annually take place at the exhibition centers of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Berlin: the whole German trade fair system (over 20 major venues) involves nine million visitors and more than 170 thousand exhibitors, half of which come from abroad.

The success of German Trade Fairs, is primarily based on the efficiency of each single exhibition center, all offering a range of massive spaces, and equipped with cutting edge technologies and services for exhibitors and visitors. The typical precision and accuracy of German culture, are definitely reflected in the exhibition industry, in so guaranteeing full efficiency of the organizational, logistical and promotional planning.

Moreover, the main German trade fairs derive great advantage even from the dense network of local and regional exhibitions taking place in all the region throughout the year. A business that involves 50 thousand additional exhibitors and 5 million visitors.

Three of the world's top ten trade centers, with regard to the availability of covered spaces, are in Germany, four of the top ten exhibition companies are in Germany. This, too, makes Germany's trade fair industry one of the leading sectors of the country, with a volume of business totaling approximately 24 billion Euros per year (source: AUMA, Association of the German Trade Fair Industry).
