How to get to Pordenone

Pordenone is located on the A28 motorway which connects Portogruaro (on the A4) to Conegliano (on the A27). The train station of Pordenone, in via Pola, is on the railway line Udine-Venice, and boasts a traffic of approximately 3 million passengers a year. The fairgrounds of the city, Pordenone Fiere, is in via Treviso, the urban stretch of the Provincial Road Pordenone - Treviso, and is located less than 200 meters from the A28motorway exit Pordenone.

Those who want to stay in the historical centre of Pordenone, may choose one of the many 4 star hotels near via Montereale, or viale Michelangelo Grigoletti. Those traveling on business, can head towards one of the hotels of Pordenone near via Guglielmo Marconi, from where it is possible to reach in a few minutes all the administrative buildings and the train station. Several business hotels are located in the Trade Fair area and along via delle Grazie, on the opposite side of river Noncello.

Pordenone Shopping and Nightlife

The historical centre of Pordenone is easily walkable on foot. The streets where you can enjoy shopping and nightlife branch off from Piazzale XX Settembre: shops, boutiques, restaurants, are all along via Risorgimento and via Trento, but especially along corso Vittorio Emanuele, the main street of the city, between gothic and renaissance palaces, and Corso Garibaldi. Pordenone is a modern city that often hosts cultural and social events: in the month of September, the Book Festival is held, involving writers and publishers of international fame. In the warmer months, it is very pleasant and relaxing to stroll in the Noncello river park or in the park of S. Valentino, the largest city park.
