Wiesbaden, capital of the federal state of Hesse, stands on the right bank of River Rhine: just in front of it, on the left bank, there is Mainz. Wiesbaden is famous for the presence of 26 thermal springs, the oldest in Europe. Wiesbaden Fair, Rhein-Main-Hallen, is a multifunctional center on Rheinstrasse, and is connected to Frankfurt airport by shuttle, bus and train.

How to reach Wiesbaden and Rhein-Main-Hallen

Wiesbaden is connected to the German motorway network via the A66 motorway, leading to Frankfurt. Several roads branch off from the city in all directions. The station of Wiesbaden, on Salzbachstrasse, is the head station for trains coming from north – Cologne, and east – Frankfurt. Wiesbaden fairgrounds, Rhein-Main-Hallen, is easily reachable on foot from the station, where trains and shuttles arrive from Frankfurt airport.

Wiesbaden historical centre is enclosed within what is called the Historisches Fünfeck, closed between Rheinstrasse Schwalbacher Strasse, Röderstrasse, Taunusstrasse and Wilhelmstrasse. In this area are concentrated most of the shops and boutiques, restaurants and clubs, but also art galleries and cultural centers. Don’t miss the restaurant inside the Rathaus, König von Bayern. It’s worth the trip to Neroberg, a small hill behind the town where you can admire a magnificent panorama of Wiesbaden.
